Novels! (one of them)

I've always love to sit by my window and read a book while sipping my mug of hot chocolate. Sometimes when it rains, I will prepare some pastel coloured marshmallows as an extra treat! That's what I call enjoyment. :) Just the thought of it excites me and gave me a purpose in my daily life: to finish my work and hurry home for my relaxing time. I can spend hours and hours reading. I will always sit with a straight and polite posture at first but who cares? I will end up curling to one side of my bench and cuddle tightly with my Laura Ashley pillow. Geez... I really need to change that habit. My mother always scold me for that.
Anyway, I came across this book one day. It's called "Cleopatra's Daughter", by Michelle Moran

I loveeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee it! Michelle has such a way of writing that you'll really feel for the characters in it. I cried twice reading that novel and fell in love a thousand times with Juba and Selene! The story revolved around Juba and Selene. How they met and how life pulls them together as one. In this novel, I witnessed an undying and pure love of two historical characters - Juba and Cleopatra Selene. Now, Juba is listed as my top idol. He is definitely topping the chart of my "most influential novel men". Haha... I know it's weird that I even create a chart like this. But the fact is, I have many charts in my life : "most influential novel women", "most beautiful person I've met that made my heart skip beat", "most unforgettable moments", " most loveable places"...... The list just goes on and on! I live in this mentally created world of my own. I honestly do not think that I can live without this fantasy of mine. It's like an escape designed especially for me when I face my most important lesson-life! Fine, I'm tired of writing. I would like to praise Michelle again for her imaginative and creative writing that made my day! Thank you so much, Michelle!
                                                                                                                            Lots of love,
                                                                                                                                              the fallen leaf.
